How to reset your Lumia?

Posted by Unknown at 7:00 am 0 Comments
Windows Phone Users usually reset their phone using the hardware button / by going to the About section in the settings menu. But both of these require several steps to be followed.

But this new way just asks you to enter a number in the Dialer to reset your phone.

To reset you just NEED TO type this in the Dialer : ##777#

As soon as you enter the number, a pop up will appear asking you to either reset/cancel.

This way of reset won't delete your Downloaded Maps or the Network Settings. So, this is actually a type of Factory Reset which would change the settings back to as they were when the phone was first booted. And again I would say, that it won't delete the Maps Data or affect network settings.
And, yes this trick doesn’t work in the Emergency Call Dialer.

Thanks for Reading..

Microsoft Lumia 950, 950 XL in India

Posted by Unknown at 2:08 pm 0 Comments
Microsoft's new flagship smartphones promise the same productivity as a Windows 10 computer but in a form factor small enough to fit in a pocket.

New Delhi: Microsoft is all set to launch its recently announced Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL Windows 10 smartphones in India in the month of November. According to our source with information of the India launch plans, the company is planning to bring the Lumia 950 smartphone to India at a price of Rs 38,000, while the Lumia 950 XL will be carrying a price tag of Rs 43,000, approximately.

While the phones will be launched in November, there is still no information about the exact launch date. The India launch of the new Lumia Windows 10 phones is expected to be in sync with the global rollout.
Microsoft's new flagship smartphones promise the same productivity as a Windows 10 computer but in a form factor small enough to fit in a pocket. The lines blur with Microsoft's new Lumia 950 phones. With an optional dock, you can attack a regular monitor, keyboard and mouse and work with apps on the phone just like you would on a Windows 10 desktop.

The Lumia 950 includes a 5.2-inch display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with hexacore CPUs. The Lumia 950 XL, on the other hand, has a 5.7-inch display and a Snapdragon 810 processor with octa-core CPUs.

This clever productivity trick is thanks to Continuum, the name Microsoft is giving to its digital continuity system that means a file created on a Windows-powered computer is accessible on the Xbox and can be edited on a smartphone and then recreated on a Surface Pro.

If that were the extent of the latest Lumia's tricks, it could be enough for a business user to get excited, but the new flagship handsets are also packed with so many well-considered features that it's possible that Microsoft's handset may also tempt an Android user into a new ecosystem.

The Lumia 950 and 950 XL have 20-megapixel cameras with optical image stabilisation - so no blurs - and a triple flash to ensure that pictures shot at night look real and that no one's got red eye.

The 950 and 950 XL handsets have up to 32GB of storage, 4K video and use liquid cooling technology. Microsoft said storage on the phones could be extended to up to 2 terabytes using a memory card.

Both the top-of-the-line Lumia phones can also be unlocked via facial recognition, and can charge to over 50 per cent of battery power in less than 30 minutes thanks to USB Type C connectors.

Even the dual antenna system is designed to automatically understand how the handset is positioned, or how it's being held in order to ensure the best possible connection at any given moment.

The new Lumia 950 phones also come with Windows Hello, an automatic biometric sign-in option introduced earlier this year. The feature allows users to scan their face, iris or fingerprints to verify their identity and give them access to Windows phones, laptops and personal computers.

the first wearable camera that can fly

Posted by Unknown at 11:44 am 0 Comments

Drones are everywhere at CES 2015, including various mentions and demos through the opening day keynote by Intel CEO Brian Krzanich. And of these, that one that has captured everyone’s attention came at the end of the Intel presentation, when Krzanich brought out Christoph Kohstall and Jelena Jovanovic, the winners of the recent Intel “Make it Wearable” challenge, to have them demonstrate their Edison-powered Nixie wearable drone.

Its first public demonstration did not disappoint. Kohstall, sporting Nixie on his wrist like a bionic wristwatch, snapped the device off his arm and explained that it has no controller, but rather flies away with a toss, pauses to snap a photo, and then returns to the sender to be caught.

A physicist from California has invented the internet's dream camera, a drone which you wear as a watch that’ll fly away and snap selfies on command before returning to you. The Nixie is still in early development, but has recently received a huge boost by winning $500,000 in Intel’s Make It Wearable competition.
